Read-In 10/02/06
On October 2nd, 2006, the Save Our Branches group organized a read-in outside the Washington Park branch. The event was a great success, and it was announced that Alan Shawn Feinstein is offering $100,000 as a challenge to the PPL to keep the branch open. Readers included former Washington Park patrons, city officials, Library Reform Group members, and others from the community. Here are some pictures.
