Not About The Buildings is an organization committed to supporting an active community of readers and writers. We host events, we push for better libraries, and now we are publishing.
We have a built-in audience of well-read, literate-minded individuals. Our events are well-attended and our mailing list reaches nearly a thousand people a month.
By working with Not About The Buildings, your organization guarantees that we can continue keeping people reading through 2009. But you are also associating yourself with a worthy and fun cause.
Our budget is very small; much of our work is donated, from space rentals to graphic design. Our web costs are about $600 a year, for the website and the mailing list; it's not a lot, but it adds up. Our events are always free to the public, so we rely heavily on donations.
Monetary Donations
Cash contributions are extremely helpful, as they help us pay for hosting fees, mailing list fees, publishing fees and food for events.
For $10 a month (or $100 a year) you can sponsor a page on the website. The name of your business will be featured on our Thank You page and in the left sidebar on another page; we will do this on a first-come, first-served basis each month, with preference being given to the most visited pages. You will also be thanked in our monthly newsletter.
For $15 a month (or $150 a year) we will include a logo on the thank you page and a link to your website. Your name will also appear on another page of the site, and you will be thanked (with your logo and a link) in our monthly newsletter.
For $200, we will feature your name as a sponsor on every page of the site for one year. (This option is not available monthly, although three month, four month, and six month options may be available. Please ask if this interests you.)
Material Donations
We need stuff! Whether it's materials for printing, office supplies, food for an event or an empty space to use for an evening, we'd be happy to work with you to figure out a sponsorship package tailored to your needs.
We also take donations of time. Donating time for planning, organizing, and manual labor all count. If you're interested in this option, please contact us and we can come up with a sponsorship plan.
